: Business & Industry Training
The Business & Industry
Training Department provides the opportunity for specialized instruction
designed to fit specific needs. Traditional classes or programs may not
allow the specialized study and learning that Business & Industry
Training offers. The programs of study are tailored to meet interests
and requirements of the students and/or businesses. With the flexibility
to customize and design training in all areas, Kaw Area Technical School
(KATS) can fit all your needs. Students must be 16 years of age or
older to enroll in Business & Industry Training classes.
Business & Industry Training Classes
Training can be provided at KATS or on site at your location. When
training is conducted at KATS, it is the school's policy that only instructors
hired by KATS are used for training. If a company provides equipment
or software in KATS' training rooms, only KATS' facilitators are permitted
to conduct instruction. Provided an instructor is available, training
hours can be set for half or full day, or off-time.

Business & Industry Training Charges
Costs
are based on facilitation costs, instructional material, books, equipment
for the course, and curriculum development hours, if needed. Business
& Industry Training has a goal to customize the training as needed
with the resources provided by the business and school.
